The Transition

How do you transition from clinical to administrative?  Well, you have one of the biggest tasks completed because you have clinical knowledge!  You are many steps ahead because of this.  When you answer the phone and a patient tells you they are having sensitivity a couple days after a filling you know why.  You know that if a patient is having an ache that keeps them up you know that is serious.  You also are leaps ahead because you know your tooth numbers and will be able to put a good note on the appointment for the patient.  So what is holding you up?  If you are worried about learning something new, why not?  Why not go ahead and add to your knowledge and wow yourself.  You can still stay in dentistry and be an asset.  Many good offices would appreciate either keeping a good employee or gaining one.
